unifiber
What is Unifiber?
Unifiber is an insoluble fiber supplement that contains 80% powdered cellulose (plant fiber), 19% maltodextrin and 1% xanthan gum. Unifiber is the only fiber supplement I have ever come across that contains insoluble fiber rather than soluble fiber (soluble fiber dissolves in water, insoluble fiber does not). Unifiber is gluten-free. Each serving contains 3g of fiber.
What symptoms does it treat?
Unifiber is sold as a remedy for constipation.
How is it taken?
Unifiber comes as a fine powder which can be mixed with liquids or soft foods. The manufacturers say that there is no minimum amount of liquid that needs to be taken when Unifiber is used.
