Paregoric (also known as Paragoric) is made from tincture of opium. It is a somewhat old-fashioned medication that was widely available in previous centuries as a household remedy but is now less readily available and prescription-only.
What symptoms does it treat?
Paregoric is used as an anti-diarrheal. It can also have painkilling properties.
