health leader awards
The Health Leader Awards are currently being presented to websites that lead the way in patient education. In particular, we look for websites that:
- treat patients with the dignity and respect they deserve
- offer personal experiences of health issues, or real professional expertise
- increase understanding of medical issues without forgetting the people who matter - the patients themselves!
The awards were created because of demand from visitors to our own website, Irritable Bowel Syndrome Treatment. Many visitors wanted to recommend health websites that they have found useful. We therefore decided to set up the Health Leader Awards to reward websites that are squarely on the side of the patient.

If you have any other suggestions for websites that might qualify for this award please get in touch. Sites should be easy to navigate, with good and original content - but most of all they should be sympathetic to the sufferer and show real understanding of patients' needs.
